San Lotano Factory in Estelí is the manufacturing home of A.J. Fernandez’s operations and a cornerstone of Nicaraguan cigar production. A.J. Fernandez, a master blender with deep family roots in tobacco, built a state-of-the-art facility that produces his own highly acclaimed lines—San Lotano, New World, Enclave, Bellagio, and Last Call—along with contract work for numerous other brands.
The floor rolls Altadis U.S.A.'s Trinidad Espiritu (a Rafael Nodal collaboration), plus Foundation, Dunbarton, Illusione, and other outside projects. The factory is known for scale, modern equipment balanced with traditional hand-rolling, and A.J.’s signature style of powerful yet refined Nicaraguan blends—making San Lotano a key link between corporate heritage marques and Estelí's boutique ecosystem.
