Nick Melillo moved to Estelí in 2003 and spent more than a decade at Drew Estate, including production and tobacco work at La Gran Fábrica during the Liga Privada years. He founded Foundation Cigar Company in 2015. The company is based in Connecticut. He blends the cigars and buys them finished. He does not own a factory.
El Güegüense, the 2015 debut, and the original Wise Man Maduro were rolled at TABSA. He retired both in 2024. The Tabernacle, Charter Oak, Olmec, and Highclere Castle roll at A.J. Fernandez / San Lotano. The current Wise Man blends roll at My Father with Pepín García. Swisher has owned Drew Estate since 2014. Foundation is Melillo's company, not an STG brand.
