Jonathan Drew—widely known as Sann—is the founder of Drew Estate, the company he built from a small kiosk operation in New York's World Trade Center into one of the largest and most innovative cigar manufacturers in Nicaragua. Drew revolutionized fermentation techniques and helped popularize infused cigars through the ACID line, while also creating cult traditional brands such as Liga Privada, Undercrown, and Herrera Estelí at La Gran Fábrica Drew Estate in Estelí.
After Swisher International acquired Drew Estate in 2014, Jonathan remained at the creative helm—proving that corporate ownership and boutique innovation could coexist. His influence extends across the industry through alumni who went on to found their own acclaimed projects, including Steve Saka (Dunbarton) and Nick Melillo (Foundation). Drew's legacy is the blueprint for turning fermentation science, bold branding, and Nicaraguan manufacturing scale into a global phenomenon.
