Trinidad Espiritu is Altadis U.S.A.'s bold reimagining of the Trinidad marque for the American market—a collaboration between Tabacalera USA product chief Rafael Nodal and master blender A.J. Fernandez, rolled at the San Lotano factory in Estelí. Launched in 2019 as Series No. 1 (all-Nicaraguan), the line expanded into a numbered trilogy: No. 2 highlights Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper leaf, and No. 3 explores Mexican tobacco—each in festive Caribbean-themed packaging distinct from the separate Dominican Trinidad Santiago line.
Series No. 1 Belicoso landed on Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 list for 2023; Series No. 3 Belicoso followed in 2025. The limited Miami Edition (2025) is a Nicaraguan puro made at San Lotano despite Miami-inspired artwork—capturing the city's energy rather than Little Havana production. Nodal and Fernandez previously partnered on Montecristo Nicaragua and Romeo San Andrés, making Trinidad Espiritu part of a broader Altadis strategy to revive heritage names through Nicaraguan fire and modern blending partnerships.
