Joya de Nicaragua Factory (Estelí)

factoryfamilyNicaragua

The Joya de Nicaragua factory in Estelí is among the most historic facilities in the premium cigar industry—the birthplace of Nicaragua's national cigar tradition when Joya de Nicaragua was founded in 1968. The factory survived revolution, embargo, and decades of market shifts to remain a pillar of Estelí's identity as the world's leading non-Cuban cigar hub.

Today the facility produces Joya's own iconic lines (Antaño, Clásico, Cinco Décadas, and more) while serving as a major contract manufacturer for brands including Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust (Sobremesa and related releases), Viaje, and occasional work for Warped Cigars. Under the stewardship of the Martínez family, the factory bridges Nicaragua's pioneering past and its boutique-driven present—proof that a single Estelí facility can anchor both heritage brands and cutting-edge projects.
