NACSA (Estelí)

NACSA—Nicaraguan American Cigars, S.A.—is a prominent cigar factory located in the heart of Estelí, Nicaragua’s cigar capital. The facility has played a significant role in the modern Nicaraguan cigar boom, producing high-quality hand-rolled premium cigars for a variety of well-regarded brands. Partially associated with the Oliva family’s tobacco operations in its history, NACSA has become particularly well-known in recent years through its close partnership with Warped Cigars and founder Kyle Gellis.

Warped’s lines such as Sarto, certain batches of Corto and other releases, as well as the Gellis Family Cigars Absolutos (a 100% Nicaraguan sun-grown puro featuring tobacco from Estelí, Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe) are meticulously crafted at NACSA under Kyle Gellis’ direct oversight. The factory is celebrated for its expertise with expressive, volcanic-soil Nicaraguan tobaccos and its ability to deliver consistent, flavorful cigars that highlight the unique terroir of the region. NACSA also has historical ties to Crowned Heads (notably the Azul y Oro blend, inspired by a gift to former owner Gustavo Cura) and has produced for other projects. As one of Estelí’s key contract manufacturers, NACSA exemplifies the collaborative, high-craft ecosystem that has made Nicaragua the dominant force in premium cigar production outside of Cuba.
