Daniel Lance is the co-founder of Domain Cigars and a retail-industry veteran who spent nearly a decade behind the counter at top U.S. cigar lounges including Outlaw Cigar Company and Fidel's Cigar Shop. He is also co-founder of Lujo Concepts, the accessories company behind the BTX cigar cutter, and moved to Estelí roughly five years before Domain's 2024 launch—initially to learn tobacco, not to start a brand.
Domain began when Esteban Disla called Lance and chose him as co-founder despite competing offers—a partnership rooted in shared tobacco passion rather than a chance meeting on the farm. Lance and Disla later became close friends while living minutes apart in Estelí, but the company itself was built as a deliberately vertical "soil to smoke" enterprise: Disla-family tobacco grown in Valle Regadío, cigars rolled at Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A., with Lance bringing retail instincts, launch strategy (including the Few Masters documentary), and operational rigor alongside Disla's blending mastery.
