Litto Gomez is the founder of La Flor Dominicana and one of the Dominican Republic's most influential boutique cigarmakers. A former jeweler, Gomez entered tobacco in 1994 with wife Ines Lorenzo-Gomez—building what began as Los Libertadores into LFD, a brand defined by agricultural control, unconventional vitolas, and unapologetic strength.
Gomez operates Tabacalera La Flor S.A. in Tamboril and farms including La Canela, where Corojo and Sumatra wrapper leaf feed lines such as Double Ligero, Ligero, and the patented Chisel. His vertically integrated model—rare in an era of contract manufacturing—places him alongside Dominican owner-operators who treat farming, fermentation, and rolling as one continuous discipline rather than outsourced tasks.
