José "Jochy" Blanco is the third-generation tobacco man behind Tabacalera Palma in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. Under his watch the Palma factory became a serious boutique floor: house La Galera cigars plus contract work for outside blenders who want Cibao-valley Dominican tobacco and construction without building their own plant.
His most visible U.S. partnership is with Rafael Nodal on Aging Room. Together they built early hits such as Small Batch M356 and Quattro F55 at Palma; Jochy later became a partner in Boutique Blends.
